Set Up Of Props

Here's how we set up our shrine for our film which is where the villain Mary ties up Zoe hence why the ropes are there. We thought this was the perfect location to film something like this because it was dirty and the pole was a perfect place for us to tie someone onto.

we used candles to add that extra effect and symbolize Marys character as a very weird individual. The red cloth on the floor was red because we wanted it to represent danger and blood.

This is a picture of our new Actor tahmina (zoe) who agreed to helping us out and take over the role of the villain from our film. Here we are applying make-up on her to create a dark gothic look which will represent her as a character. We gave her a purple lip to compliment the colours of her outfit.

Props And Costumes

The Props we need is candles which will be used for the shrine.
It will give it a spooky aroma. We will also need a chair and rope for one of our characters (Zoe) to be tied up onto.
The characters will be dressed according to how their character is. So the bad character will be clothes in dark clothing to suggest that theres something spooky about them whereas the good character will be in light colourful clothing.

P14- Photography Techniques

There are 2 basic techniques in the world of photography which are 180 Degree rule and the Rule Of Thirds.

One of the basic rules of photography is that you are only allowed to film 180 degrees at most whilst turning the camera. An imaginary line called the axis connects the characters so that it doesnt confuse the viewers.

rule of thirds is another technique that film makers use. This is when theres a scene split up into 9 sections. this helps to keep everything in place and keep it balanced. 

After making the 9 section grid you should identify the four main points that the audience should focus on the most and place them in the centre grids.The theory is that if you place points of interest in the intersections or along the lines that your photo becomes more balanced and will enable a viewer of the image to interact with it more naturally.

P13- Schedules for characters

Below is a schedule for the main to characters who will cast in our film. 

They both will be needed to film on different days at different locations and it was important that they have a strict schedule so that they can stick to the dates and times. 

we have stated what type of clothing they will be needing to wear.

We are filming different scenes on the same day hence they will need to bring a change of clothes.

They both have different schedules due to one character being in more scenes that the other character.

Above is a schedule of all the days that we are filming and where it will be located. we have included props such as pills, water bottle etc for each scene so that we are aware of the props we need to bring with us on the day.
furthermore we have stated which characters are going to be needed so that we have all the cast crew ready to film on that day.

P11- Weather Check

We wanted to see if the weather was suitable for us to be filming outdoors.
As you can see it wont be raining at 3.10pm on tuesday 9th December hence it would be appropriate for us to film on this day

P10- Agreement From Cast

Heres a picture of one of our members of the cast signing the agreement letter which is a form of contract.

 The main characters have signed and agreed to all the conditions.

The contract briefly states the producer has full rights to how and what they do to the actors according to appearance and name. The actor gives permission for themselves to be shown in the film. The picture can not be used for anything else in the media except for publicity purposes, advertising and sales promotion.

P9- Feedback On Production Company Logo

We had to potential company logos hence we wanted to ask our target audience and get their opinions. Heres a sample of 6 different people who gave us some feedback and chose the one they most preferred.

We have concluded that our audience prefer our second logo. Below is the two logos in colour.

P8- Phone Call To city hotel

We Wanted to film in a hotel to make it into one of our characters bedrooms. Due to personal reasons we cannot film in our own homes hence we thought a hotel would be appropriate however the price for the hotel was too expensive for us therefore we need to look for an alternative place.

P7- Locations For Film

 Here are some of the potential locations we have picked. We had to look for a new location as our original diea was to go to the St clements mental hospital but we were told we arent allowed to film there due to costruction work. Hence we had to compromise and look for some place elsewhere even of that meant we had to chamge abit of oir story line.
All of these locations are in our school.

P6- Location Check

We visited St Clements Mental Hospital as it was a potential setting for our short film. We wanted to get permission from them as their was construction work going on and we wanted to know if it was safe for us to film. However we were told that no one is allowed to go in to the site as its dangerous.

P5-Title Question

We wanted to know what our target audience thought best suited our title name as we weren't sure which one to go with.
Therefore we gave out a little questionnaire and gave a list of possible names for our short film.
We gave a short plot above the names just so that our target audience can relate the title name to the plot.

Plot: Two best friends, Mary is secretly obsessed with Zoe and this obsession has started to become worse. Everything Mary and Zoe do together Mary must keep a memory of it and treasure it with all her life. Zoe hides her sad feelings and takes her anger out on herself by self-harming. Zoe is the total opposite of Mary and has no idea instead she wants to keep their friendship forever.

Above is our mood board which we have created to display different aspects of our upcoming short film. The pictures represent what our film will be based on and the words are also symbolising sections of the film.
We have given the audience a chance to get an idea that our genre is based on psycho horror.
The word obsession and the pictures of two friends in black and white exhibits that our film may be related to one friend being obsessed with another or an outsider who has an obsession with them.
We want the audience to be intrigued and anxious to know what the story line consists of.

R12- Short Film Festivals

LSFF is an annual event that presents the best in UK short film-making talent. They go all over Londons best independent cinemas and screen some of tjhe best short films. they are funded through BFI, British council and the national lottery. People are given the opportunity to send their film to LSFF and the picked ones will be screened at the festival.
Films can be made for many reasons some are:

A showreel - you might be pursuing a career in filmmaking and want to demonstrate your skills

Partnerships - you'd like to try working with certain people to see if you can go on to collaborate on projects in the future.

Testing an idea out - you've always thought a certain story would work well on screen or you've got a feature film idea that you want to try out on a small scale first.

Kudos - you may have found a high profile director/writer/actor, who'll help you raise your filmmaking profile, or want to use your film to elevate your own industry profile.

She loves going out with her friends and trying new things learning about things fascinates her a lot even though there are times she rather stay at home and sleep all day. Sleeping is her best friend she can be a lazy person but other times very active. She loves drawing and playing games sometimes socializing its not always want she does in her spare time but occupies herself by watching YouTube videos and reading books. Psychographics: He wants attention at home whatever it does to make his parents angry he does it as he gets a thrill out of it. Being mischievous and pulling pranks at school and at home keeps him entertained. He acts like a kid and is very immature when he eats he burps and is very unclean. Staying in the same underwear is one of his specialties. Not following rules and rather breaking them is fun for him playing sports with his friends on the weekends is something that he really likes to do. He likes to have piercings and tattoos without his parents permission it’s a form of way to express himself. His hair is gold to him grooming himself from the top is one thing that must be done. Socializing with his family and relatives is not one of his priorities he would rather be out with his friends then at home. Baking is not cool so therefore, he won’t do it eating takeaways is far better and knowing he has his parents to pay for him. The whole idea of school is a no, no for him he likes to get into clubs with a fake ID which is cool because his friends do it his also smart he won’t always show it being silly is far better.
