R7- Survey Monkey Results

Above is a screen shot of our survey monkey results. our first question was "what sort of genres in horror movies are you interested in?"
as you can see 83.33% which is 10 people have said they are interested in psycho horror.
from this feedback we know that our audience like to watch things that plays with their minds and the thrill it gives them. so we will be taking this feedback on board and trying to add elements into our very own short film which matches the feedback.

We wanted to find out what elements of a scary film our audience liked.
So our fourth question was "What specific elements of a horror movie scares you the most". this will help us in terms of the mise en scene, editing, sound and lighting. The four key focuses whilst making a film. We now know that sound is the most important as 10 people picked this and we ourselves agree with the audience as its what makes us jump the most.

Whilst filming a horror film the settings is crucial therefore a our 8th question we asked our audience "Where do you like horror films to be set". Our highest results was a house so we will  be taking this on board and working on our film by looking at what the audience best like. however we may as a group want to challenge all of these and change it around a little to give it our own touch.
A house is a typical settings for any horror film, it may be good for the audience to watch something  more refreshing.

As were still deciding who to cast in our short film we wanted to figure put what type of characters to have. so as our 6th question we asked "what age group would you prefer to watch?"
Half the responses were teenagers, therefore we may use our peers to cast in our short film  as were all teenagers ourselves.

Overall i have learnt what people most prefer and what interests them the most. Its a great way as a starting point as it gives me an idea of what i want to include in my short film.
